Advent Fundraiser update

In our recently concluded Advent Market 2021, we at the Catholic Artisan Market were honored to feature and showcase a collection, Amare Nesciri. The beautiful art collection was donated to support the children residing at Kizito Babies Home in Uganda.

We share some thoughts on the collection from the artist.

Amare Nesciri is a term coined by St. Philip Neri, ‘to love to be unknown.’ That is to be as Christ was while He walked this Earth. Christ was not always going to and fro. A profound interiority marked his active life. He was often withdrawing for times of recollection and prayer. He died on the Cross for us; He gives Himself entirely for us while mainly remaining unknown. For God Loves to stay unknown. The little we can explore is a mystery in Holy Scripture. Amare Nesciri, a glimpse into perfect Humility, the Word.

I pray that the joy the children get is an abundance of grace from what Jesus and Mary have given. Lives nourished a little, seeds that will one day sprout into strong trees for God’s glory. Lives that I will never fully know but have been briefly allowed to touch. It is a privilege and a gift out of Love. Love that flows from and for our Creator, who knows everything. Charity trumps all virtue, but Charity can only be given and received when the “me” is taken out of “us.” Amare Nesciri love to be unknown.

We appreciate all the generosity from everyone who supported this effort. We are thankful that these efforts will alleviate the kids’ needs, especially during this advent season.
